Universal Health Coverage (UHC) refers to a status all people have access to the full range of quality health services they need, when and where they need them, without financial hardship.
About the UHC Knowledge Hub
The Government of Japan, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Bank, is promoting the “UHC Knowledge Hub” initiative to support the achievement of UHC in low and lower middle-income countries, with the goal of realizing UHC globally by 2030.
About the UHC High-Level Forum
To advance the achievement of UHC, the Government of Japan, WHO and the World Bank will co-host the “UHC High-Level Forum 2025,” bringing together representatives of global organizations involved in UHC to further build momentum toward its realization. The Forum will also contribute to strengthening health financing in low and lower middle-income countries through capacity-building support for policymakers and practitioners from health and finance ministries.
